September – a fairly effective, productive month. The element of Earth is particularly strong, focusing our attention on practical and concrete matters. It’s an opportune time for business meetings, home, and workplace organization, scheduling, preparing for the academic year, and taking care of health. However, the majority of the month is not conducive to initiating new endeavors, either at the beginning or the end. Why?
The first half of the month is unfavorable due to the retrograde motion of Venus (until the 4th) and Mercury (until the 15th). The last week is challenging due to the Sun’s conjunction with Ketu, which brings delays and retrospection. However, the third week is one of the most auspicious this fall for starting new activities.
Planetary Positions in September
As mentioned, the element of Earth is strong, especially in the first half. Until the 23rd, the Sun will be in Virgo, and Mercury will be there for the entire month. They will be supported by Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn. This will offer a sense of practicality and focus, helping to manage financial issues and organize tasks. After the 15th, when Mercury turns direct, it will be a strong period for mental activities, innovations, education, and paperwork.
Venus will be in the Fire sign of Leo for the entire month, adding passion, charm, and a quest for beauty. However, beware of excessive demands for luxury and self-centeredness in relationships, which may be exacerbated by Lilith in Leo. From the 4th onwards, as Venus goes direct, there will be more focus on love, beauty, and financial prosperity.
Mars will transit through Libra, directing actions towards beauty and creativity and offering diplomatic skills. Success will depend on charm, good manners, and the ability to maintain good relationships.
Saturn will be in Pisces in opposition to the practical planetary cluster in Virgo, introducing spiritual and inspirational needs. This is part of the long-term astrological backdrop for the year.
September can be divided into three parts
Part I: 1st to 15th – Virgoan Conclusion
During this time, no significant challenging aspects will form. The planetary pile-up in Virgo will add practicality. However, it’s a better time for finishing tasks rather than initiating them. Both the retrograde Mercury and the waning Moon are not conducive to new initiatives but rather for refining old ones and gathering necessary information.
- Best days: 1, 2, 5, 6, 9.
- Worst days: 12, 13, 14.
Part II: 15th to 23rd – Virgoan Activation
On the 15th, a New Moon will form early in the morning at 4:40 AM, and Mercury will go direct late in the evening at 11:21 PM. This is one of the best weeks of the fall for new tasks, especially related to administration, documents, education, various services, medicine, and logistics, as well as business meetings and signing documents.
This period is favorable for everyone, but especially for those born under the signs of Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, Cancer, and Scorpio.
- Best days: 20, 21.
- Worst days: 19, 22.
Part III: 23rd to 30th – Libran Moderation
On the 23rd, the Sun will enter Libra, where it will join Ketu and Mars. This period is karmically conditioned and not a good time to initiate new projects. The focus will be on past actions and their consequences. It is a time for retrospection rather than active initiatives.
- Best days: 25, 28, 30.
- Worst days: 29.
